step-forward

The StepForward Recovery Practice

Wellbeing: Coaching survivors of Abuse and Trauma to have a voice and balanced life.

StepForward to have a Voice

Giving a voice to Survivors of childhood sexual abuse and regular support for wellbeing to enable recovery, healing and self-care/awareness.  As a Survivor of Childhood sexual abuse myself, I have learnt so much from being able to meet other survivors too.

Our monthly wellbeing group in Sevenoaks, Kent is held on a Thursday evening from 7pm-9pm.

With an interactive evening and meeting as equals for support and to gain a greater understanding of ourselves, also recognising strength, resilience and courage to overcome, heal and celebrate being who we are. There will be informative speakers and presentations at some events also.

The most important part of the evening is for you to feel welcome and safe.  We do not ask you to disclose any personal inforchildhood, abuse, trauma, stress, changemation in the group, unless you wish to within a speaking opportunity.

There will also be creative opportunities in the group and look forward to this important and valued event thriving and growing for everyone.

A donation from each attendee is to cover costs of hosting these events. Tea and coffee are included too.

My mission for these events is to give an opportunity for all survivors to have a voice in whichever way is best for you and look forward to meeting you.  Contact me about coming to an event and booking your place.

If you have any questions  or if you are looking to raise awareness of this group, I can forward a link or a poster for you to share.

Community Day Event:

Stress and Trauma can often impact your health in many ways.  Chronic illness or fatigue can be experienced for some time  before it is diagnosed, especially in  M.E.  Fibromyalgia or CFS.

The Chrysalis Effect Celebrating Recovery event held on Saturday 14 October 2017 in Redhill Surrey, gave  an opportunity to meet other recoverers, practitioners and hear guest speakers too, such as Anna Hemmings MBE. who will be shared her story of recovery from Chronic Fatigue when at the height of her successful Olympic career.

On the day I  presented  ACE testing (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and overcoming and healing for recovery whilst also sharing my own story and score.

The Chrysalis Effect offers a monthly step by step recovery programme which you can sign upto and progress on your own or work with practioners.
